The story behind Roaming the World
We travel because these moments matter. As teachers, our window for exploring the world is small — just the summers — so when the school year ends, we pack our bags, grab our cameras, and make the most of every day we’re given. That rhythm has shaped the way we travel: intentionally, gratefully, and with a sense of curiosity that never really turns off.
Our trips aren’t perfect. We’ve had the magical days and the messy ones, the smooth adventures and the “well… that didn’t go as planned” stories. But that’s part of why we love it. Every journey teaches us something, and every experience — good or not so much — becomes part of the story we get to share.
And at the end of each trip, no matter how far we’ve gone, there’s nothing better than coming home to our family waiting for us. That’s the heartbeat behind Roaming the World: exploring the world together, then bringing those stories back to the people we love.
Meet the Creators
The couple behind Roaming the World
We’re Bob and Pam — teachers, travelers, and lifelong learners who believe the world is best explored with curiosity and a sense of humor. When summer arrives and the school year finally slows down, we trade our classrooms for airports and set out to discover as much as we can. Our adventures have taken us to incredible places, and they’ve also handed us a few “well… that was unexpected” moments along the way. Through it all, we’ve learned that travel is richer when shared — with each other, with the people we meet, and with our family waiting for us when we come home.
Bob
Teacher, planner, and the one who always checks the flight times twice. Robert brings the structure, the research, and the “let’s make this trip count” energy to every adventure.
Pam
Teacher, storyteller, and the heart of every journey. Pam brings warmth, intuition, and the ability to find beauty in the small moments that make travel meaningful.
Together
As a team, we balance planning with spontaneity, structure with wonder. Roaming the World is our way of sharing what we learn — the practical tips, the honest stories, and the joy of exploring side by side.
